unnatural heartbreak (a short story)
I look into the eyes of my love & I know that I have hurt her beyond hope for forgiveness. I see the tears running down her beautiful but pained face, the loneliness and anger in my Sariah’s eyes. I turn away & step into the shadows I have to hurt the person I love but I have to make my beloved hate me. I have to, there’s no other way.
I step deeper into the shadows wishing I could at least hug my love before I go I risk a look back & see my beloved weeping on the ground. A week ago I would never had done this, but I have to. I cannot bring her into this mess. She cannot know about the evils that surround her, the evils that I am the descendant of. It is better that she hate me for leaving than know what I am.
