Damnation.
A soul is born without tarnish, free of taint and contamination. Down to the very concept of what we have come to weave as myth and belief and fact, that which is spawned of darkness and hate bears no soul, for a soul is compassion. It is to forgive and accept, cherish that which is laid bare before you one and all; Large and small. The very basis of innocence comes from the purity of soul, and thus the lack of experience and knowledge as a soul is made bright yet comes to grow dim over time. Experience is joy and laughter and growth, but experience is suffering. In one stage and in all, our mind grows haunted. The fear of loss, regret, missed opportunity, anguish and pain. In all moments of life, our most complex component is a constant turmoil said to be described by signals, impulse and science. Yet, described only ever as the soul in eyes of religion; In the eyes of the one, the Parent. Even so, this parent brought us to fall. Pain, hate, anger, rage, guilt - Yes, all emotion wears at the soul. Encounter brings chance, chance brings possibility and possibility sows hope and fear; Hope of something better than where we were and fear of being dragged somewhere worse than where we once stood. In all moments we come to know despair and bereavement, we learn. We grow and flourish, and thus from knowledge there is recovery, but from pain there is knowledge. If that is to be said, then does the purity of the soul feign to say one must be ignorant to life to remain pure? When the first to touch perfection walked, they were in peace and their souls are unscathed by the scorn of jealousy and greed. But temptation was made, and in gaining knowledge forbidden, our souls were made to be un-clean for all time, should the day come without repent. So perhaps, in truth, that this world is no blessing at all, but something far more malevolent. Let it be that all we see may indeed be Hell, for the only truthful fact we have is we are here to live, and yet in living you come to be made impure.
We are all damned.
We always have been.
We are all damned.
We always have been.
