Star dust
To the star dust of my dreams
I dedicate these expressions,
As poor as they are, as
Reflections of the midnight smile.
How is it that your love
Has lit up my night sky so?
You have become my brightness.
Your moonlight visions revel in my heart
You stand apart as the apex
Of my thoughts, and in my midnight hour
Your beauty blooms as the moon flower
Of my mind; the star dust of my dreams.
And once again I find myself drifting;
Caught in the undertow of comets
Pulled by my desire for your love
To places between moon and tide
Where I gather you as
the star dust of my dreams.
I dedicate these expressions,
As poor as they are, as
Reflections of the midnight smile.
How is it that your love
Has lit up my night sky so?
You have become my brightness.
Your moonlight visions revel in my heart
You stand apart as the apex
Of my thoughts, and in my midnight hour
Your beauty blooms as the moon flower
Of my mind; the star dust of my dreams.
And once again I find myself drifting;
Caught in the undertow of comets
Pulled by my desire for your love
To places between moon and tide
Where I gather you as
the star dust of my dreams.
