Timebomb

A ticking time bomb, ticking so fast.
This moment's peace could be my last.
Zero to sixty in no time at all,
Burning down bridges to tear down a wall.
You twist it around inside your head.
Always hearing words that were not said.
I try and argue, but the cause has been lost,
Just so you can be right no matter the cost.
You start to get close then you shove me away.
Destroying tomorrow all progress today.
Building me up just to tear me back down,
As you hold my head underwater watching me drown.
Am I really so wrong feeling this way?
Going crazy and hurt from the words that you say.
Walking on eggshells, waiting with dread,
Constantly questioning what goes on in your head.
Jealous and angry you lash out in fear,
Cause you're scared you will lose all you hold dear.
But it’s these very actions that will seal that same fate.
So you better rethink this before it’s too late.
