SOAKED IN SIN

That which dangled  
  became firm,firmer, and firmest
first a glance  
         then a tease
to an
all consuming lust in ernest
                
            To provoke, to devour  
         to appear weak
                but have all the power  
     I can resist  
                perhaps delay-  
we worship the night  
                 just to offend the day
we sin
                 just to have an excuse to pray  
Time creeps along  
the world continues to spin
     two lovers intertwine  
and are soaked in sin
 
       Hail to the night -
darkness, my dear friend  
grant me more of your grace  
let me never forget  
all the pleasures of her face
all the rewards of the chase
