Curtain
They drew the curtains,
Exposing her inner being to them.
Leaving her naked and bare.
Forcing her to face the cold icy elements of their blizzard.
The curtains pulled back from her treasure chests,
The library of her soul open for business,
Open for all eyes to read.
She shivered in the contempt,
Of their torrential down pours.
Curtains gone, she stood alone,
Taking hits, weathering the judgement they cast at her within stones.
Bleeding from wounds brought on by old,
She stood shaking, exposed in the stares, bitter cold.
Curtains left, she alone stood still,
As they rummaged through her luggage like thieves in the night stealing her secrets.
She stood frozen, her heart and soul turned to ice, her body a sculpture of her demise.
