I'm Still Here

Can you hear me?
I've been yelling at you for so long now
Telling you to wake up
One would believe that you could hear me clearly
Considering how close I am to you

Do you feel me?
Every word that I speak
Should cause chills within you
But for some reason you remain asleep
Numb to my very existence

Do you see me?
I look just like you but more alive
Every glance you make into the mirror
I'm staring into your eyes
For I am inside of you

I have been inside of you since your birth
I was placed inside of you before your first breath on Earth

As a child your parents would call me your Imagination
As a teen you knew me as a Dream
But now that you are an adult
With so many responsibilities and distractions
I, Passion, am being ignored and suffocated
The deep desire thats burning in you can still be achieved
As long as you and I still breathe
So please my dear friend
Wake up
