No, America Did NOT Win the Cold War - Russia Took a Dive, That's All.
When i say "Russia took a dive" I mean,
Russia "threw the fight," LETTING America win.
But boxers don't take a dive unless there's a payoff.
So what is the pay off for the Kremlin ?
How does Russia come out ahead by "losing" the Cold War ?
It's obvious enuff if you will only be cynical, skeptical, suspicious.
Look at what the West has done since 1990 when the Cold War "ended."
America and NATO have DISARMED drastically, recklessly, unforgivably !!
The Kremlin was smart enuff to anticipate just such a response to its "peace" moves.
Moscow hoped we would feel free to cut back on our nuclear arsenal,
"now that the Soviet threat is gone or in the process of going."
People do things for the results that they bring.
Ditto, with nations - their actions can be explained by the actions that follow.
Russia's ending of the Cold War resulted in the West's disarming.
On that basis, we can conclude that America's disarming
was the motive behind Gorbachev's dazzling "peace" offensive.
The obvious question to ask now is "Just how does America's nuclear nudity (our disarming)
benefit Russia commensurate with the herculean effort involved in giving up Eastern Europe, etc?"
Well, in peace time Russia doesn't benefit at all,for American missiles are all dormant,
Whether there's a thousand or ten thousand missiles with nuclear warheads.
But in war time, Russia benefits immensely.by getting America to reduce its retaliatory arsenal.
For the smaller our retaliatory arsenal, the more likely that Russian Attack
will be able to destroy about 80% of it - in the first 6 minutes - before we can launch it !!
Next, if our submarine-launched warheads are fewer than 1,300
Russia's ABMs will be sufficient to intercept them !!
In short, Russia does the "impossible," by winning nuclear war !!
Imagine a chart in which a line starts at the top left corner
of the screen runs down toward the bottom right corner.
That line represents the number of our nuclear warheads on our "boomer" subs.
It's been steadily declining since - you guessed it - the end of the Cold War.
Now, imagine a second chart, with a straight line starting
at the bottom left corner and rising toward the top right corner.
It represents the growing number of ABMs in Russia's nationwide system !!
Now let's superimpose the second chart over the first one.
As the rising line intersects the declining line, what does that mean ??
It means that the number of nuclear warheads we have MATCHES
the number of Russian ABMs needed to shoot them down.
Russia can intercept 1,300 of our warheads, according to William T Lee.
When we reduce our nuclear warheads on the missiles
carried on our boomer subs to 1,300 warheads or below,
THAT is when Russia will press the nuclear button, BELIEVE THAT.

No one wins a nuclear war, Russia maybe many things but stupid their not. In about 30 years time the 2 new super powers will be China and India.
Huge populations expanding not only military but more importantly economy, they will eventually overtake the USA in importance as buyers in the world market
The real danger is not ideological but that of securing ever dwindling resources. China are now heavily invested in Africa paying better money than the West
The old powers are waning, lol every dog has its day...now it's time for the Dragon

"Nobody wins in a nuclear war" is a mantra promoted by the Russians. They don't believe it themselves. Their military textbooks claim that nuclear war IS winnable. All that is needed to win is to destroy your opponent's retaliatory arsenal - when you strike first.
Our retaliatory arsenal is made up of 3 parts, so it's called our Triad. All Russia has to do to win nuke war is to destroy all 3 parts: (1)our ICBMs, (2)our strategic bombers, (3)our boomer submarines (or the missiles fired from them). That way, we lose our ability to retaliate. Russia can then bomb us with impunity. By the mid-1980s Russia had figured out how to dispose of two "legs" (our ICBMs and our Bombers) of our Triad, plus one half of the last leg, our boomer subs.
So all that stood in Russia's way was that one half of the last leg of our nuclear Triad. Russia was "so close yet so far" from reaching it's evil goal. We simply had more warheads on our SLBMs, sub-launched ballistic missiles, than Russia's ABMs (interceptor missiles) could shoot down.
So Russia came to a fork in the road: Either (1)Russia could build 1000s of additional ABMs to shoot down America's SLBMs, OR (2)persuade America to voluntarily reduce by 2/3 the number of subs we had. Of course we wouldn't be stupid enuff to agree to such a thing - as long as the Cold War was raging. So the only thing Russia could do was to end the Cold War and "hope for the best." By "end the Cold War," I mean MUCH MORE than that. Russia would have to (1) give up Eastern Europe and (2)let the republics of the Soviet Union separate from Russia. And (3)the Kremlin would have to end the monopoly of power by the Communist Party. Plus (4) it would have to legalize Capitalism.and (5)allow freedom of religion.
By doing all 5 of these things the Kremlin hoped to sucker the USA into signing "arms control" agreements that would strip America of 2/3 of its boomer subs. And that's just what happened !! Like Samson after his hair was cut, America is not nearly as strong today as we used to be. Our threat to retaliate after a Russian Attack no longer puts fear into the Kremlin. For we have cut back on our nuclear arsenal so much !! My point here is that Russia CAN win nuclear war. For the M.A.D., "mutual assured destruction," won't be mutual after all !!
PS: I believe that "Bronco" Bama (Barak Obama) will cut back one more time on our nuclear arsenal as his way of leaving a legacy of "peace." He is the PEACE president who thinks that cutting nuclear weapons = peace.Since this is his last year, it's "now or never" for him. Like Don Quixote jousting with a windmill, our president sees nuclear weapons as an ENEMY that must be boldly fought against - by reducing the size of our nuclear arsenal. Since the SEQUESTRATION is in effect, that gives Obama the opportunity he needs When he reduces our subs at sea from 4 and 4 to just 3 and 3, this reduction by two subs will make a difference of 2 x 167 warheads or 334 warheads. This will bring us below the all-important threshold of 1,300 warheads or the first time. (Russia has the ABMs to intercept 1,300 warheads. So when we go below 1,300 warheads, the Kremlin will do the math. America's 1300 warheads minus the 1300 that the Kremlin can shoot down adds up to a big fat zero. Russia will conclude we have zero warheads. The Kremlin will say, "Our time has come !!" Gorbachev and company will take action.America's cities will become only a memory. (But all is NOT lost. Christ's Second Coming is designed to reverse Gorbachev the Antichrist's victory.)Russia will own the world for only "5 months" (Revelation 9.5,10). For Christ said he'd "shorten the days" of the Tribulation(Matthew 24.22). It had been given as "3 1/2 years," (Daniel 7.25). Five months of pain is a great improvement over 3 1/2 years, wouldn't you agree ??

After a rumor was spread that he had died, Mark Twain replied that "my demise has been greatly exaggerated." Likewise, the "death" of Communist rule in Russia "has been greatly exaggerated," believe that.
"In nuclear war, no one really wins." Yes, you are saying something that EVERYBODY believes. But it just isn't true !! Russia/the Kremlin is determined to do the "impossible," by winning nuclear war. And they will do so !! And America is helping them do it by our gullibility !! It makes me ashamed to be an American - the way every body has swallowed the lie that Gorbachev, etc has told about Russia becoming democratic, etc. And as people see Russia growing more hostile, they say,"Oh, Russia WAS on the road to democracy but got detoured." NO, NO, NO, that wasn't it.
