Dark cowl upon the Cape
Keeling a red drifter
Escaping along the squall
Beneath Lion's Head
And the winds were rebuked
And the seas becalmed
Black once against the sun
Sea birds tern silver
Flip of seal's flip turns tides
Back to Good Hope

In addition to the aforementioned biblical reference, this is full of wonderful alliteration, Whale, i.e. - Dark cowl upon the Cape & Flip of seal's flip turns tides...
Also loved the nautical usage of 'tern' vs. turn, it creates a double entendre. Another watery yet wonderful write.
