I've been through many lonely stretches when I thought I was forgotten but it turned out everyone thought I had forgotten them because I stopped calling and coming around. Human contact is a two-way street. If someone you love hasn't called, call them or go to their house. If you want to meet people with things in common, go to a poetry reading. I have met some good friends at open mic nights. Call a friend and ask them to go with you. It's a fun way to reconnect with someone you've been missing...
