Helpless Dichotomy

 
Nostalgic dreamscape, restricted view
I found myself above the stars
Naked & drowning, slip into the void
Reticent ideology not withstanding
I lost myself, blinded by sight

Regurgitated by infinite imagination
I retrieve myself one more time
Spiraling toward the event horizon
Shreds of sanity; shattered archetype
I forget myself... divinity enslaved

     Take a trip to the great beyond
     Someone else is taking over
     The fear of guilt now growing strong
     Will I survive... this Helpless... Dichotomy?

Forsaken by the vast emptiness
I discover myself unsuspecting
Driven to zero point oblivion
Sacred anointment, another fortnight
I digest myself... absorbed in abstract

The phoenix has risen - a shimmering symbol
I create myself exuded in tragedy
Subconscious convolutions of awakening
Pain sears reality; collapsing into flesh
I am no more... I am to become

     Take a trip to the great beyond
     Someone else is taking over
     The fear of guilt now growing strong
     Will I survive... my Helpless... Dichotomy?
