Haiku/Senryu Renga: HIT MAN 🔫👤
(a Jade-Pandora & Hepcat61 collaboration: contrasting call & respond)
1
I grab his pistol
rubbing its cold steel into
where it sends me there
she knows it’s my way—
hard steel in her waiting hands
glad she likes my gun
2
I wonder if it's
loaded, thrilling even when,
heart, I know better
she moves ev'ry part
considering the danger—
heart wants what heart wants
3
bitter and tartness
sweet and savory blending,
joining skin to skin
once tasting hot smoke
there's only one true path, sight
body, mind, motion
4
incognito— where
he hides on the run from, and
intensely returns
quickly to that room
when to enter and retreat
deep in her hideout
5
what kind of hit man
leaves such evidence around
oozing and unclaimed
she’s better at this—
the set-up and the take-down
we’ll need the “cleaner”
6
what lover leaves me
hanging, suspended, waiting
for one digit's worth
shots ring in the dark—
don’t wait to see body twitch
always on the run
7
his averted eyes
speak volumes of his nature
leaving fingerprints
the crime scene body
I look away but remain—
hope she brought the cuffs
