If my interpretation is accurate the mechanical, robotic response to the birthday greeting is a problem? There usually is something worth holding on to, despite the gloomy depiction...

I don't fully understand what you mean but all i know is that yesterday (the day i submitted the poem and the day of his bday) i gave him a happy birthday message and he responded with a thumbs up. He did the thing a jerk would do. Not respond with a thank you and shut my ass down. It hurt because i'm in love with him. Well i guess i was lucky he even responded at all. Considering i expected him to just ignore the message. Like i said I'm in love with a jerk...... who frankly has a great personality but at the same time is such an asshole. But he's the sexiest asshole i ever met. I'm going through a faze. And this poem just shows me in my current faze
