A Dark Dream Of A Dark Collector (vol 1)

Consecrated by a dark shadowy whisper
Seared into his flesh, a raw painful blister
A dark misty sliver moonlight eve
Addicted to the pain he continues to bleed

The voice that guided his terrible deeds
Invaded his mind and tormented his dreams
Until he could no longer discern reality
No longer solve what should and should not be

It influenced him to do terrible things
Unafraid of what consequence brings
Unspeakable acts of cold black morality
Relieving victims of their tortured mortality

Himself not excluded he must induce pain
Just like his prey his blood must drop like rain
But even with veins empty still he persists
His (life) will not end regardless how he resists

He even flayed his own flesh from his bones
Then covered his naked skeleton with dark flowing robes
His curse the eternal bone collecting practice
Indiscriminate soul gathering and malice

This gruesome legacy of carnage his curse eternal
But without his efforts population would grow infernal
He grows impatient for the end of time
The only event that could break his bind

Then without warning or preclusion
Things shimmer like one big illusion
He feels faint as the world begins to fade
He awakens suddenly - all his torture unmade

Waking he had pause to reflect on his past
Every single moment from beginning to last
Realizing this nightmare gave him one last chance
He never looked back, not a single lingering  glance

Something deep in his subconscious mind
Can't help but feel something left behind
Something lingering from his horrific nightmare
Afraid to fall asleep... afraid to go back there
