Thinking Out Loud

 
I choose not to be negative
With the way the world is going.
Positive outlooks energize,
And keep the juices flowing.

Pessimism only acts as
Spiritual molasses;
Extinguishing good cheer
In the psyche of the masses.

A frown's never as comfortable
As a smugly gleeful smirk.
To be honest, being miserable
Just requires too much work

I've learned this keeping council
Of happy bats that dwell the belfry,
Who've, quite cleverly, suggested
That I share this silly selfie. :p
