China and North Korea are Playing "Good Cop, Bad Cop"

When North Korea does something crazy  
Pundits always say America's leaders  
should get China to "use its influence"  
as a way to get North Korea to behave.  
   
How absurd, how naive, how backward is that !!  
Don't they know, can't they see the obvious ??!!  
It is CHINA that is encouraging North Korea's offenses,    
It's China that NEEDS North Korea to act up, to go off.  
   
China and North Korea are partners,  
They're working together as "Good Cop, Bad Cop".  
But what do I mean by, "Good Cop, Bad Cop"?  
Suppose two cops are questioning a reluctant witness,  
 Or defendant - someone reluctant to confide in the police.  
The top cop - the police detective - will step out of the room,  
Leaving the witness/defendant with his assistant.  
He plays "the bad cop" by typically threatening    
or even ruffing up the witness/defendant.  
 
Then the detective comes back and plays the "good cop",  
by telling the "bad cop" to back off, "control yourself!"  
He may put himself physically between the "bad cop" and the witness.  
The terrified witness feels grateful to the "good cop,"  
So when the witness is questioned by his hero,  
That witness feels obligated to cooperate,  
By opening up, rewarding the "good cop,"  
after all, that cop "saved" him from the other guy.  
   
Actually the two cops were working together, of course.  
The good cop NEEDS the bad cop to misbehave  
So that the good guy can intervene and play the hero,  
By pressuring him into acting civilized again.    
The good cop "earns" the cooperation of the witness.  
 
How are China and North Korea playing a game  
Of Good Cop/Bad Cop to trick the USA?  
We can change that to simply, Good Guy/Bad Guy.  
Well, China tells it's sidekick, North Korea to act up,  
By, say, sinking a South Korean submarine,  
which it actually did a couple of years ago.  
Just this week it claimed to have detonated an "H bomb"  
(Which turns out to be,instead, just an atomic bomb.)  
This sets up China with the opportunity to play the Good Guy  
By "pressuring" Korea into making promises to restrain itself.  
As a result America feels relieved, grateful to China.  
But what does China get out of this role-playing?  
Right now China is building artificial islands far from its coast.  
So that it can use those islands to extend its "territorial waters."  
The other nations in that region oppose China's power play.  
The USA is siding with those nations - and not with China.  
You can be sure that behind the scenes,China's president is  
telling our ambassador that "one good turn deserves another."  
He's saying, "Since China helps out America by restraining North Korea,  
America should show its gratitude by BACKING OUT of the China Sea issue!"
 
PS: North Korea is about as independent of China
as a dummy is independent of the ventriloquist,
on whose lap he is sitting.
