For sweet
I had always thought love was mutual,
now i know it buys a ticket just for itself.
How right i was.
Slowly you said it,
firmly you meant it.
Your words were frail,
was it because of the rain?
Whatever weakened you that evening charmed me.
Your words resound,
i think i have tinnitus.
I always thought love was a giver,
how wrong i was.
It sticks selfishly.
It crawls in its own ways,
never try to stop it! never!
In this sphere, it is neither brain nor brawn.
It is just life, a harmless heart of candor.
Your sweetheart of amity.
Now your tincture has made me dauntless.
A large smiler and a big heart.
My life sails each day stronger, my cherry-heart.
now i know it buys a ticket just for itself.
