Letting Go
You're like a piece of thread slowly coming undone like worn out material that's been used over, and over again
You lie to yourself and say all is well as if it shall be well
Sinking fast like cement cinder blocks your drowning fast right in the midst of those who care
Nobody has looked past your smile behind the light in your eyes to see the real you
No matter how hard you swim to the top you seem to get further, and further away and your arms are getting tired like spaghetti noodles that have boiled to long
So easy to let go and give in to the chaos that surrounds
Your sinking is now welcomed
It envelopes you like a security blacket welcoming you with open arms like a child who runs to its mother
You've given up and stopped fighting
Suddenly your arms break through to the top and that's when you realize that your giving up was HIM stepping in
You lie to yourself and say all is well as if it shall be well
Sinking fast like cement cinder blocks your drowning fast right in the midst of those who care
