Afterlife

I come from a faith that souls are immortal
and the body is a carrier
A physical form, a barrier
From setting the soul free

Once we die. The barrier is free
And the soul is reincarnated
into another cage bound

But what deeds we do in this life
What seeds we sow today
Will reap our reincarnated self
Later in the day

Your soul will fly with the Sun
Or be shunned back to the earth

Karma; What fate beholds us
is determined by the past we hold
Death is a mere journey
Of continuing the natural process of
Life

Death is just a pause
Of recycling the soul
With each life offering you the opportunity
to over come vice, hatred and malice

Willingly giving up your soul
is thus a tradition followed in my religion
to cleanse the evils, or
When you feel it is the end of your journey

We don't have tombs we don't have graves
We burn in the eternal pit of fire
as our souls are taken away

You can bid the world goodbye
Later or very early.
