Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving...
25 NOVEMBER 2015, 05:40 PM
Staring out at a starlit night,
The moon is big, full and bright.
I daydream of, holidays past,
And memories made, to forever, last.

We sit around the dining room table,
And listen to uncle begin a tall fable.
The smell of Turkey wafts in the room,
Knowing our dinner is coming so soon.

I watch as my grandma smiles at me,
Knowing there's nothing, like our family.
We all hold hands as someone says grace,
Seeing the peace on everyone's face.

We eat in silence for just a few moments,
Wondering if, we all need atonement.
I crack a joke, to break the peace,
And we all enjoy, this fantastic feast.

Smiles and laughter filling our hearts,
Knowing that soon, we will all part.
The warm embrace and kiss on the cheek,
This feeling inside is something we seek.

Enjoy what you have, Be ever grateful,
There's no reason to be, spiteful or hateful. Just be kind and loving while living,
And may you all, have a Happy Thanksgiving.
