Reality, She Spoke
Let it out,
Let it hollow you,
Let it sunder you as a Swift
melded in imponderable flight
Be vigil,
Stem the lustful ease
from your branching lies,
If you hear your song,
let it be the sound that sings you well.
If you feel your death,
Accept it,
Let it redeem your freedom,
Let your maggots inside,
Their teeth imbedded to release you;
Know this was all washed over ...
Know this was all forgotten before we ever started,
and it must, as always... follow
again
and again;
In marrow and in darkness,
you tender nigh the spring's trillium
The sun's endower,
emerging warm in redemption,
again the only space that keeps you alive,
Bearing your
ascendent name.
