the theatre crowd were making their way out
just as the rioters were dispersing -
by which time the police could tell neither apart,
which was more than a little disconcerting...
I mean, come on constable, have a heart -
to be fair, we've been simply rehearsing...

I felt like the poem was forced to rhyme, but I enjoyed the sense of fear your words created. As a theatre professional myself, I couldn't imagine walking out to chaos like that and suddenly being wrongfully persecuted for it. Hope to read more from you!
