What has become of me?
What has become of that innocent mind
which I once had and now so badly long for?
I've grown up too fast, I guess
I've missed the point completely
Overwhelmed by the problem
Unable to think.
Unable to imagine.

I don't want this any longer
so rid me of my mind
Make me a child of innocence
who knows nothing, no crime

Take me back to the camp fire
where those stories were told
Strip me from the pretence
and rid me of the names
Take me back to the greenness of the grass by the lake

Make me true

Take me back to seeking guidance from up above.
