My Sorrow
my madness rises from the gloom
seeking the imperfections in my marrow.
shadows from yester nights, gone long ago,
dances around my miseries dressed in indigo.
among these shadows, I've seen a man,
seeming old and gray at first glance.
with wonder I gazed in his cobalt eyes,
a flight of familiar scene I realized.
there was others with familiar grins,
all from way back then.
they all greeted me without a word.
misery loosening its grasping hold.
darkness disperses with the mornings cold.
now I ponder all these things,
I feel free from the night visions,
my sorrow brings.
seeking the imperfections in my marrow.
shadows from yester nights, gone long ago,
dances around my miseries dressed in indigo.
among these shadows, I've seen a man,
seeming old and gray at first glance.
with wonder I gazed in his cobalt eyes,
a flight of familiar scene I realized.
there was others with familiar grins,
all from way back then.
they all greeted me without a word.
misery loosening its grasping hold.
darkness disperses with the mornings cold.
now I ponder all these things,
I feel free from the night visions,
my sorrow brings.
