Could we

The timing's not good,
But I wouldn't change it if I could.
This is how it's supposed to be,
It's not a game of wait and see.
The heart knows nothing of time,
The pain inside sweet and sublime.
Your heart tells you what to pursue,
But would she want to see it through.
Or pick back up in a few short years,
After frustration and unwanted tears.
If that's so then why let my heart bloom,
While you sleep in His room.
You've said it before they don't have a clue,
Of how I feel for you.
To wait on approval for my love to soar,
But my feelings I can't ignore.
And when you say later my heart is torn,
As my light dies by the poison thorn.
We both know- right now it would last,
But later on could we bring back the past?
