Short Poems VI: Words are Symbols

I.
this dream we've pursued
of physical pragmatic thought
through the age of logic
inspired creation of label
induced our mind to wander
beyond original intent
of what you scripted before

II.
idealistic wants of words
to believe in material world

III.
it cannot be true
was once said
but then they pursued
and brought in the light
mind was opened
to immaterial thought
do not be afraid
and burst forth bright

IV.
trade in this world
of materialistic object

V.
word induced panic
material doubt installed
built to distribute
false ideas in all
but truth be told
we've let it get this way

VI.
propagated to fail
our most humanistic venture
the want to be civil
overriding our freedom
shut from the light
to bring in material

VII.
distribute your pills
to calm down the populace
rx happiness
of worldwide destruction
taken against our will
inducing your illusion
