The Side Chick Poem
You kill me softly,
When I’m wrapped up in your sheets,
Yet you don’t lay next to me,
Make me think it was all a dream,
That your love wasn’t even real,
Like you aren’t even there,
Maybe I’m just going crazy,
Or maybe it’s just you I crave,
Had me hooked when you said “Hey”,
Knew that I wouldn’t be able to walk away,
Now I know you have a wife,
The one whom you sleep with at night,
And when you come to me she thinks you’re alone,
That’s the only reason you turn off your phone,
How long will you keep lying?
Playing a game, you think you’re winning,
I’m sorry to say but I’m leaving,
Because I’d rather stay up all night crying,
Than be that girl you’re always hiding.
When I’m wrapped up in your sheets,
Yet you don’t lay next to me,
Make me think it was all a dream,
That your love wasn’t even real,
Like you aren’t even there,
Maybe I’m just going crazy,
Or maybe it’s just you I crave,
Had me hooked when you said “Hey”,
Knew that I wouldn’t be able to walk away,
Now I know you have a wife,
The one whom you sleep with at night,
And when you come to me she thinks you’re alone,
That’s the only reason you turn off your phone,
How long will you keep lying?
Playing a game, you think you’re winning,
I’m sorry to say but I’m leaving,
Because I’d rather stay up all night crying,
Than be that girl you’re always hiding.
