A tear in the cloud

 
I saw a tear in a cloud today..
I thought of you..
When the rain fell like tears
I wondered....

If I'm allowed to miss you.
If it was your essence
telling me it's okay if I do...

I watched the florescent colors
Shift from blues and pinks
to powder white
And charcoal black

the sky was weeping with me
Washing away mascara
stained cheeks ..

I was cold...
You were warm..

Your absence is a quiet cloud...
Your memory breaks it's silence
With tears in rain
I remember..

For a moment you were here..
I was cold..
You were warm..

When I felt the rays of the sun
seeping through....

A tear in the cloud.
