Freedom

A soul tattered in death
A body sodden with fear
Trudging through this ravine
Bannished from a life unknown
He does not blink, he makes no sound
Outlandish and discalced, he is alone
A demon inhabits within
A memory of days has made him deranged
Eyes feral with rage
A heathen among angels
A fire amongst water
His provenance ravaged in war
His former self entombed within his lovers screams
Unable to cobble his wounds
His frailty becomes reality
Death coaxing him to sleep
An ashen man in the ravine
An incandescence unseen
Freedom comes in his own way
