Je Suis Le Lion (or Le Pape)
Binary numbered 0101
The star of the pentagon
That is my evolutionary development
As I humbly walk in a proud fashion
Swagger and suave
Looking left and then
To my right
Followed with a straight ahead
Chin up
As I am the king of this land.
King, as in, I take pride in my step
Showing off my large mane
Those I pass bow in my presence
When I roar.
It is to be heard and understood.
The word of authority
My ruler is Mighty Helois,
But my ego shines as bright
I move when my emotions are at their strongest
To vow for attainment
And let no obstacle distract
Attack without prejudice
Unsuspecting
To feast and dine with the Kingdom
That is in my care
The Fidus Corde
The silver moon my mother
And golden sun thy father
Work is play and play is work
Childishly responsible
Where emotions dictate the law and order
Planting my feet firmly
My senses are keen to the touch
The slightest tremor alerts my awareness
Informing my intuitions of danger or safety
It is evening and the sun that energizes
Has receded to the horizon
And will befriend me in the morning.
For now I lay on the cool ground
Feeling the earth to my belly
Surrounded by my adored ones
In a deep, relaxing sleep.

Darksighs....You are correct in saying it should be read "zero one zero one" which then rhymed with the next line. But I think thats my only rhyming line.
Indeed, it is about sheer confidence! Feel my steps!!

"A weemaway..." I can't help but think of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," that novelty song from the '60s, but this is clearly a different story. For one thing it's from the lion's viewpoint, and he's feeling more of a benign ruler than predator.

The lion is a creature of instinct but is profoundly satisfied with nature. He's in his element, his kingdom, and all is well.

The lion is capable of a greater loyalty and responsibility than, say, a human politician. Simplicity, no hidden agendas. When he says he adores others in his pride he isn't kidding. He'll back them up no matter what. They can sleep well.

The lion is capable of a greater loyalty and responsibility than, say, a human politician. Simplicity, no hidden agendas. When he says he adores others in his pride he isn't kidding. He'll back them up no matter what. They can sleep well.

I am glad to say that song did not go viral in my thoughts while writing this. I think it saved me from something horrible. Haha
I like your comparison of the lion to the politician. And in some ways the Lion is a politician, but has different ends he wants to meet. Mostly, that everyone is safe and comfortable with themselves.

Even the lion has to sleep at times... but how wonderful it must be to sleep so surely and soundly. Enjoyed this proud walk.
