The Fortune Tale

Young girls years
So pretty
Spent nights
Rolling on river banks
And fields of grass
Country boy between

Her thighs.

A look at the diamond lit
World above
Same light that filled
Those hot nights
Light that fueled dreams
Of a vast future

She sighs.

A baby faced 6 foot
Young man
Her light now
Her son
Wonders what he knows
Of loving and the air underneath

Those skies.
