The J Word

Waxed and wrinkled
faded and torn
cropped or baggy
flared or skinny
shrunk cold in the bath
and folded in dirt
distressed with bleach
then embroidered with love
cried for and jizzed over
tight as a glove
who would have thought
we'd be branded with hurt
stretched from the sweat
of kiddy-wink bones
so our legs
can look cowboy blue
