Share Your Life
Flashes of Hope you see
coming out of a long depression.
At first you don't recognize them
for what they are.
But then they come more frequent
and you learn to bind them together.
You choose to live again and
your brain chemistry actually alters.
Your friends never really left you.
That was the isolation You chose.
Some things you have to face alone
and hopefully you emerge wiser.
The best you can do is just be there
for another in their time of need,
as that isolation and darkness
need not always be endured.
So take my hand, friend new or old
and let's walk the ripened orchard.
My shoulder can share your burden
and show you that you are never alone.
