Oh Winter...
I feel I should be under this tree,
Under the leafy over grown canopy,
To watch the sunless day go by,
And see the birds steadily fly.
I am not one for the warmer seasons,
For this I can't give any reasons,
To feel warm though is a desire,
But I'd much rather be next to a fire.
Be it a fireplace or on bonfire night,
Either in winter is such a delight,
I'd take a hot chocolate over an ice cream,
An Alaskan adventure over a California Dream.
Doesn't matter the day,
This I will always say,
The winter is much more warm,
It's just disguised in a different form.
