Nothing Like The Sun
Love is a twisted captivity
Each a slave of the other
Burning brightly as
Moses and the bush
Then cooling leave
A lump of coal in its place
Who dares to play this game
Of knaves and maidens
So eager to be consumed
So heartbroken to
Be left behind
Is it worth it
That moment of freefall
Before your body
Shakes the ground below
Flying high leads
To falling hard
I myself care not for love
For lovers words are lies
And though I leap
And touch the sun
I also burn and
The scars of helios
Last much longer
Than you
Each a slave of the other
Burning brightly as
Moses and the bush
Then cooling leave
A lump of coal in its place
Who dares to play this game
Of knaves and maidens
So eager to be consumed
So heartbroken to
Be left behind
Is it worth it
That moment of freefall
Before your body
Shakes the ground below
Flying high leads
To falling hard
I myself care not for love
For lovers words are lies
And though I leap
And touch the sun
I also burn and
The scars of helios
Last much longer
Than you
