I love this and do it with planes. Lie back in the grass night or day and wonder who is looking down at me looking up wondering where they're going.

trains have always loomed large in my life..:)
around here the old Victorian railway embankments
and bridges and tunnels around London Bridge
reverberate with my childhood -
although of course the reverberation may simply
be the trains..!

I remember them when I lived in England as well. Learned to count boxcars that way. Rumbling jets above and earth vibrations from trains below. Both are a beautiful way to daydream.

It's a bit strange - I watch planes in the sky and imagine where they are going, wishing I was going too :-)
