Love ala Fantasia
he was sitting on the park bench
all alone, looking lost and weary
I wandered near and he looked up
his eyes as green as the leaves
of summers gone by
eyes meeting, so deep we drowned
moving blindly towards each other
grasping hands meeting, holding
I moved into his embrace
feeling his strong arms folding me in
the music played for us
soughs of the wind, rustles of leaves
twittering birds and chattering squirrels
we danced lithe and nimble
swaying together clasped in bliss
we flew towards the skies
touching stars and travelling constellations
listening to the choirs of angels
and sounds of triumphant trumpets
until we touched earth again
In our perfection,we waltzed
and as we walked away to our Elysian garden
we looked back once more
to see our tired bodies sitting on the bench
just two old hobos dead of weariness.
