Two wrongs.

After all the excitement and passion had passed away,
after humptey dumpteying and in bed we lay,
I cldnt help but look back,reflect on events of today,
upon me like a plague,swarmed regret and disdain.
For I realised too late the mistake I had made
Right beside me lay....... a beauty that is true,
sparkling and captivating,even charming to a fault.
Honestly tears like flood rushed out these eyes,
As I watched her twist and turn like the snake she was,
for she lay now in place of the woman of my dreams,
whose cup she could not but half fill,
In my eyes perfection had found a coffin in her.
In my eyes life,was the very air she breathed.
One cannot imagine the pain inside me felt,
For I had wronged what I was unworthy to own.
As time unfolded and she slowly faded in the distance
my life withered away like autumn leaves
For love she turned for a glance with gem like eyes.
I whispered to the wind,my words to her to carry.
my brightest star,take not that path sadness chooses for thee
engulf me with life that I might slowly fight for your heart.
Walk not,away from something that was so great
to my dearest angel,two wrongs never make a right.
