Dark Horizons
When darkness stirs a woman's soul, she can
Accept the lure of night and slowly rend
Ideas, within her mind, which shredded, tend
To focus on the power in a man:
The kind who loves to sublimate and span
Her every conscious moment - let her blend
These with illicit ideas, that could send
A lesser male away; but, it's her plan
To find her way to darkness, where she'll wait,
Attendant on desires and hopes and fear
Of the next step, which she could have thought through;
Yet, clearly eager, she's sure he will sate
Her body through chapter and verse: he'll steer
Those dark horizons, she would love to rue...
Accept the lure of night and slowly rend
Ideas, within her mind, which shredded, tend
To focus on the power in a man:
The kind who loves to sublimate and span
Her every conscious moment - let her blend
These with illicit ideas, that could send
A lesser male away; but, it's her plan
To find her way to darkness, where she'll wait,
Attendant on desires and hopes and fear
Of the next step, which she could have thought through;
Yet, clearly eager, she's sure he will sate
Her body through chapter and verse: he'll steer
Those dark horizons, she would love to rue...
