Words of Love

It used to never be just you and me
Always us
Together
I never thought we would be apart
But now we are
And its killing me
I love you more than life itself
But you
You’ve forgotten me
I am your long lost past
Just some old memories

And like pages in a book
My life just keeps flipping the page
But this book is too short
And so it repeats itself
Over and over
Until the words are blurred
And the book is memorized
In the everyday monotone
My life is unchanging
Without you

I somehow know
That it wasn’t supposed to be this way
But there’s nothing I can do
So I’ll just keep writing and writing
These poems to you
Until maybe one day
You realize who they were for
And tell me
How you feel
But till then
I’ll just keep filling the blank pages with words
That mean everything to me
And for now
Nothing to you
