You've Changed(Spoken Word)

Remember those days

we played as kids

until the street lights came on?

Remember those days

up till middle school

we use to act like fools

because we thought we were cool?

I thought I had a dozen friends

that would stay till the end,

but I bettered myself

from everybody else.

People wanted you to be nice,

but they couldn't take their own advice.

As they act like two different people,

claiming they treat everybody as an equal.

As a former nice guy I put everybody first,

but later found out

that was the worst mistake

I'd ever make.

Became the bad boy that people didn't like,

but those same people had done wrong on to me...

now does that sound right?

That's when they said that I've changed,

but I told them  that they've changed...

And it's strange that most people

don't understand the hypocrisy in their lines and statements.

As it's two different personalities

under different settings and arrangements.

As soon as the caps and gowns were put away,

most of those people remain cold and distant until this day.

It's always this back and forth of 'You've Changed',

but hey, the more that things change,

the more they remain the same...
