The Beautiful Break

Whispered echoes filled the halls of my home
As my prized possession fell to the floor

I watched it in slow motion
And I hoped it a pure notion
Now it lies there...
Broken Open

It's broken
It's beautiful
It's mine

Jarred pieces stretched out before the world
Catch and reveal reflections
Of all I've ever known

So much life was safely locked inside
-Yet in the blink of an eye...
it's vulnerable

It's broken
It's beautiful
It's mine

Gold's not meant for the shelf-life
Break diamonds open to see what's inside
Jewels are yet to be realized...

Behold the broken truth of life

It's broken
It's beautiful
It's mine
