Greed.

It's human nature to want;
It's human nature to need,
But a thing I cannot seem to get,
Is how a person can be so full of greed.

I find it ridiculous how the world evolved:
From "Love makes the world go 'round,"
To money taking love's place.
Humanity is doomed to fall to the ground.

It's pitiful how people can't enjoy small things,
More pitiful that they're tearing it down.
"I'm a simple person," they say,
As their love for possessions cause destruction of small towns.

Greed is killing nature's life and destroying much more,
Places for shopping malls, and unnecessary things,
Our world is being torn town by imbeciles,
Who want more and more, and go on destructive flings.

Greed seems to be the heart of everything now,
Since money became an issue to humanity.
The beings of today cause me to believe,
That this world is headed towards insanity.
