Prestige a disposable commodity
Status not a factor for survival
With success measured in avaricious terms
Something to be said for just getting by
Maintaining friendships and whatever love
All the rest, all that glitters
Just scatters and dissolves
Security blown away with the blink of an eye
Just could use some peace of mind
Currently lost, but hopefully found.

An intelligent write, Crow. The Latin title I was trying to decode, but only understood Peace. Mentis relates to "deceit" (which I had to research). But your picture suggests a King, one who is worried or insecure, or has a fearful look. That said, prestige does not always seem to belong to royalty and there is even more uncertainty in that position because are they your friends because of your power or they genuinely like you? Thats what I am taking and I like it because of it. Haha. Good write.
