A POEM TO BE READ OUT LOUD
Eloquence is ethereal,
Sonorous,
Mellifluous,
A bombinating limerance,
Eliciting iridescent epiphanies.
In words I see the phosphenes of oblivion
As you and I lie in supine vellichor.
A dalliance between the evanescent and the sempiternal.
You as an efflorescent denouement
And me as a riparian ripple with labyrinthine mind.
Inhale petrichor
Exhale eunoia
We are nemophilists,
Aesthetes,
Pluviophiles.
A sudden hiraeth
As we stand in komorebi
And the aurora I see is ephemeral,
Incandescent,
Luminescent,
Effervescent.
Silence in an epoch of ineffable solitude
And nyctophilia
OK so that was my poem. It it my first time posting here so yay me.
I feel that it is important for you to have some background on the poem: My friend in art class bet me that I could not create images with words as vivid as his painting and I accepted the challenge. the Idea is not to view it as a poem but rather as a piece of art. If you got this far without opening your mouth to say something, read the poem again but this time out loud and listen to the words as you say them. The poem was specifically written to be read aloud. It has a powerful flow and aural appeal.
P;S if I get good feedback Iwill post the simplified version
