Death

Death may be inevitable, and certainly all who live must one day embrace her… but death itself is not the end of life, nor need it be the end of forever either. Death can sometimes merely be a transition from one state of being to another… from a scientific standpoint, or I should say a pseudo-scientific metaphysical standpoint, it is simply the cessation of matter and the freeing of energy from matter. That energy being the real us: our souls and spirits so to speak! For some, that transition can lead back in a great cycle whereby energy may become embodied in matter once again. That is how people can become reincarnated, and since energy never dies it merely changes form… so too is it true that we never truly die. We merely change forms over time, the core us remaining the same! So do not fear death, but neither rush to embrace it either. It simply… is. :) Very thought-provoking poem, dear elf!
