Gratitude
From a tumultuous point of view in
what resembled a logical thinking
mind frame, thinking, that if humans
have limits then my thoughts have
gauged it fairly and deemed it low,
low and disappointing, not worthy of
any form of admiration
I slowly began to loose hope in the
good that resides in human beings;
What do they live for?
But then, as stars light up the dark
night sky, it's rays piercing through
the blackness;
Consider that I, was drenched in abject
darkness, silently hoping that
Even darkness has a shade of
light;
Looked up...
And found you alight, like a star in the night
Your light piercing through the brick thick
Pitch darkness
It's rays pouring down on me,
gifting me with more light than I ever
hoped for,
blessing me, after the ordeal, with tangible
reason to again wonder if goodness resides
in the deepest corners of man's heart.
Perhaps there are good but unseen reasons
That keep men roaming these torrid earth tracts...
And you, you my friend, completely oblivious
of this quiet tribulation of mine,
have touched my heart
