The world only sees
what it wants to see
but it never sees
the real me; so to see…
My pain it never sees
only my shortcomings does it see
for the world only shortsighted sees
and so it only does see
what it wishes and up close it sees.
I never care that it never does see
the real me which it never sees
for that only I can see
