"Dark Blue Curtains"
dark blue curtains
blocking out the light
keeping in the heat
faded memories hanging
from my windows
where white ones use
to hang, embroidered in
flowers an as thin
as wedding silk
pretty white curtains
blocked out by depression
of supressed winter
days
Those dark blue curtains.
How I wish they'd melt away.
