Puzzle Pieces
I tried to ride the bike.
With all my might I held on tight
but fell and scuffed my knees all night.
Amongst trials and errors of getting it right,
I was familiarized with getting up off of the ground.
It was there a puzzle piece was found.
A boy once came and said to me,
"This is not right, so it cannot be."
I didn't understand what was wrong with me.
With a sniffle, and a tear, eyes shifted to feet.
It was there I found a puzzle piece.
I didn't get to say goodbye.
She was there, then gone,
in the blink of an eye.
I wandered about where the flowers lied.
It was there I found a puzzle piece.
A five letter word I longed to live
was deemed impossible for the way loved.
Many questions were bottled-up and sent above
till a five letter word turned up I didn't think of.
It was by her side when I coddled her cry,
I found another puzzle piece.
I wasn't sure of where to go.
In my search for the road I lost my way home.
Back and fourth, like a tide, I was thrown,
till I took a look around me.
The grass felt soft underneath me feet.
The winds caressed my quivering cheek.
The trees stood tall with a welcoming greet.
It was then, while lost, I found a puzzle piece.
All along the roads of life,
through the trials and errors of getting or right,
through the darkest nights, in our deepest frights,
in the happiness we hold with all our might,
in times of lost and found,
take a step back, and look around.
Puzzle peices waiting on the ground,
in the air, and on the road,
in the hands we reach to hold,
in our hearts forever-gold,
in our tears, and amongst our cheers,
in the ones that we hold dear,
in the pain, and during the rain,
in the times we try again,
in the sun, and in the stars,
perfectly placed, and yearning to be found.
To the obtained pieces I am forever bound.
In the puzzle-piece-masterpiece sense of true self is found.
With all my might I held on tight
but fell and scuffed my knees all night.
Amongst trials and errors of getting it right,
